Dry Needling/Acupuncture

Tight shoulders? Annoying Knots?

Dry Needling is a technique used to pin point and release your sore spots/knots, these are called myofascial trigger points. Our Physiotherapist Tasmyne is trained and certified through the Australian Physiotherapist Association in Dry Needling and Acupuncture. She uses her knowledge of the human body and referred pain areas to alleviate your pain.

Dry Needling/Acupuncture can be great for treating musculoskeletal injuries, muscle and joint pain including Back, neck, hip, knee, elbow, and shoulder pain.

Back pain/Lumbar/Thoracic

Just injured your lower back and want to get “back” to being active? Old disc injury flaring up?

We can help! Our Physiotherapist’s have experiencing in treating a variety of spinal conditions and pain including degeneration, Scoliosis, lumbar and thoracic pain, disc prolapse, laminectomy, discectomy, Sciatic and referred pain.

At Adaptive Physiotherapy and Performance we use evidence based treatments, provide one on one hands on Physiotherapy and access to our rehabilitation gym with hydrotherapy sessions available. This means you will not be left in a room with a heat pack or TENS machine!

We can arrange necessary referrals as required including MRI’s, Ultrasound, and X-ray.

Neck and Shoulder Pain

Slept funny? Sore neck or shoulder after being on the computer all day? Rotator cuff injury playing up again?

We love treating the neck and shoulder! In today’s society the stressors and demand we place on our neck every day has increased with the use of tablets, phones, and computers.

Don’t put up with having a sore neck or shoulder, we provide postural assessments, education, hands on treatment, joint mobilisations, flexibility and strengthening programs specific to the neck and shoulder.

Osteoarthritis- knee, hip, shoulder

Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions, we use a variety of treatments to support you to be more in control of your pain and function.

Treatment can include:

  • Education about OA to improve your understanding and ability to actively manage your condition

  • Personalised exercise and rehabilitation program.

  • Pre and Post Operative Rehabilitation Program

  • Hydrotherapy, Myofascial Release and Soft Tissue Massage, and gait retraining

Rehabilitation Gym

Our world-class rehabilitation gym has been designed for our patients needs and goals, with disability access to ensure that everyone can utillise Physiotherapy services.

Our in clinic gym is equipped for rehabilitation and Physiotherapy programs including cardiovascular equipment, resistance training, plyometric equipment, gait, balance and more.

Myofascial release, Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Massage

Part of Physiotherapy treatment may include soft tissue and Myofascial release techniques, our Physiotherapists have experience working with Sporting teams including Women’s Jets, NSW FFA Junior soccer team at the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport), NSW men’s and Women’s teams at the NTL (National Touch League), and Wide Bay Select exhibition match vs Brisbane Roar.

We use a variety of techniques appropriate for your conditions or injuries to optimise your function, recovery time and performance.
