Women’s Health - Physiotherapy

Our Women’s Health services are here to support you at any stage of your life, including pre and post pregnancy, incontinence issues, return to exercise, pelvic pain, abdominal separation and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Women's Health is a specialist musculoskeletal field of Physiotherapy, Tasmyne (Physiotherapist and Clinical Director) has completed additional training in Women’s Health to ensure you are properly supported.


One on One Physiotherapy Assessment

We are here to support you and your needs, ensuring we take a proper history and assessment to understand what treatment will be suitable for you.

We work closely with local GP’s, specialist’s and other health professionals to maintain the highest level of care with the latest evidence based treatment

 

Pelvic floor exercises to improve coordination, strength and endurance

Based on your assessment and diagnosis a pelvic floor program may be right for you, some treatment can involve correctly learning to use these muscles as they are important to support your bladder and bowel and increase your confidence with movement.

This improved strength and control can reduce or stop leakage and just like any other muscle they improve with a personalised, consistent program.

Education and Discussion

We are here to listen to you, making sure that what treatment we provide is right for you. We will provide you with education to empower you to manage your condition and better understand your body.

We take time listening to any questions you may have so that you can have peace of mind and ensure you can manage your condition to the best of your ability.

 

Exercise and Performance

Incontinence, pelvic pain or prolapse shouldn’t limit what you want to be able to do. We will provide a supportive, progressive program to ensure you can participate in the activity that you wish.

For Pre and Post Natal we provide a variety of graded, safe, evidence based programs to get you back to exercising with confidence.
